Dear Customers,
 
Following this afternoons news that the Isle of Wight will enter Tier 4 from midnight tonight, our showrooms will be closed until further notice. 
 
During this period, we will be offering a click and collect service from our Lake Showroom from Monday 4th January for online and telephone orders. We have more stock than ever before including; mattresses, beds, sofas, and many other items of furniture. There are also lots of fantastic savings in our up to 60% off Winter Sale.
 
We will have limited staff working from home to give support and advice whilst our showrooms are closed. From Monday 4th January, our phone lines and online web chat will be open 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday. We are anticipating a high number of enquiries which could result in a longer response time than usual. Safe, contact free deliveries:

  • Door-step deliveries - to ensure the safety of our staff and customers, our Delivery team will only deliver goods to your doorstep and will not be able to enter your home to deliver to a room of choice. 
  • Our Warehouse and Delivery staff have all been equipped with PPE including gloves, masks and hand sanitiser.
  • Strict social distancing measures. The delivery team will work in the same pair whilst social-distancing restrictions remain in place, to reduce the risk of catching and spreading the virus.
  • All our staff will have their temperature taken at the start of each working day.
  • We will not deliver to anyone who is showing any symptoms of coronavirus.

 

Online shopping:

  • Our website is open all day, every day. Please bear in mind that lead times may be extended due to safety restrictions within factories and a high demand for resources. We keep thousands of items in stock in our warehouses that are available for quick, safe delivery.

We would like to send some reassurance to everyone. Whilst our showrooms will temporarily close from Thursday 5th November – Tuesday 2nd December, we will continue to operate our safe contact free deliveries as well as a click and collect service from our Lake Showroom. Our warehouses will remain open throughout and we will be accepting deliveries from suppliers who are able to operate.

Please be assured that our Customer Service team will continue to work hard to contact those who have outstanding orders and to give support and advice whilst our showrooms are closed. Our phonelines will be open 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday. We are anticipating a high number of enquiries over the next few weeks which could result in a longer response time than usual. Our website team will continue to work to ensure our online store can remain open whilst our showroom doors are shut. This means there will be someone available to assist with your product queries and process your order. There will be someone available to chat to Monday to Friday between 9am – 5.30pm. Any messages received out of these hours will be answered as soon as possible.

Firstly, we’d like to say a big thank you for choosing to shop with Solent Beds & Furniture since we reopened in June.

The furniture industry as a whole has been overwhelmed with unprecedented levels of demand. With resources being stretched across the industry, and the Government implementing lockdown restrictions in local areas, we are predicting we may be faced with some unexpected delays. However, we are monitoring this closely and are working tirelessly across the business and with our suppliers to ensure orders are fulfilled as quickly as possible.
